Episode 7 of the podcast “Parole d’artiste”, produced by Le Mouffetard, Centre national de la Marionnette (France). Interview with Agnès Limbos.
Since 1984, the Brussels artist Agnès Limbos has been developing a unique form of concrete and poetic theatre in which objects, clowning and text are combined to tell the story of the ridiculous and cruelty of the world, not without tenderness. There is a form of surrealism in her work, which pushes language and banality to the point of absurdity, to reach our reality better.
In this new episode of “Parole d’artiste”, Agnès Limbos returns to the origins of object theatre and the metaphors it conveys. She explains her creative process, in particular how she creates a link between the tragic and the comic with that little surrealist touch that characterises her creations.
