RESSACS

by and with Agnès Limbos and Gregory Houben

première 2015

for general audiences, 13 and up.

audience capacity: 150 spectators

duration: 55 minutes

In the service of a poetic transposition of what we call “the crisis” and the human aspirations that result from it, Gregory Houben and Agnès Limbos, accompanied here by Françoise Bloch, surf between storytelling and theatre, between embodiment and point of view at the heart of a theatre of objects, dialogues and music.

In the beginning: a couple lost on the open sea in a little boat.

Toy of the prevailing winds, the couple is tossed, the boat too.

And the direction is uncertain.

Their undoing is complete. They have lost everything: the house, “a beautiful house in a residential area”, the car they were still paying for, the “jardin français” “with so marvellous roses”: the bank has repossessed it all.

Only Jesus, they think, can still come to their aid and get their colour TV back. They call for him in a heart-rending impromptu Gospel and end up running aground by chance on a bit of earth.

Virgin?

Isn’t there something to do, to take, to build?

In a dream during the night, pass the ships of Columbus, accompanied by the music of the great conquests…
